dining plan question

It is my understanding that DVC members can buy the new quick service DP. I was just reading about it. I think it might me a good fit for us. We won't have to interupt our day for table servie if we are not hungry. I can always make ADR for the rest. we want to try.

Given that the best restaurants (and best DDP value locations) tend to book up fairly quickly, not doing reservations and getting the DDP is a recipe for disaster, IMO.

We have done the math and we feel that it is worth it...We have gone through the menus, figured out what we would order, and added it all up...We do it before every trip...We figure out where we want to eat and make all of our dining reservations 6 months in advance...A few weeks to even a few months before, we go through the menus...Then we figure out if the dining plan is "worth" getting...DH hates this process because he says he does not want to think about what he wants to eat until we get there...But the process is worth the time if you want to figure out costs...Of course nothing is written in stone and we can change our minds on what we want...We just get a general idea on what we would want...I also do some work after we get home to see if we did save...And we have every time we have been on the plan...Five times now we have come out ahead...We have saved any where from $120-$360 depending on where we ate and the length of our trip...

We never cook even though we have the full kitchen...We use the room for quick breakfast meals and snacks...That is it.

thanks guys!!! I totally appreciate your help. I think we have decided to try the new quick service dining plan. This way we can enjoy our first trip to the World without having to watch our watch for dinner reservations. Next trip we will probably try some table service meals.
