Dining Plan Question

We have used the dining plan every year so far, and just find it easier. This is our first trip using our DVC membership, and will be calling to buy the meal plan. My little one will be two at the time of travel and the meal plan is for 3 and up. Would they still let me buy a plan for her? She can eat more than my 4 year old. With the MYW package they would never let me, otherwise I would have to buy her park tickets as well. But now since it is separate I would hope they would let me.

Anyone have experience with this?

There are reports on these boards that DVC has allowed the purchase of a child plan for a 2 yo, since the DVC version does not require a park ticket package purchase like the plan through Disney cash reservations. It never hurts to ask.
