We are going to WDW in October. We are DVC members and have two rooms booked at Saratoga Springs for 3 nights and then are moving over to OKW resort for another 2 nights with two rooms. My question is...The grandparents will be with us and we would like to do the dining package. I know everyone in your party must sign up for it, but does everyone have to have the same park passes as well. Grandparents only want to do max of 2 theme parks and we want to get a 4 day hopper pass for the rest of us.
It is my understanding that everyone has to have at least a one day pass to the parks. Am I right???

Any info would be greatly appreciated:)

If you have two rooms booked you do not have to do ddp on both rooms - you just have to do ddp for the room you pick for all in that room for the entire length of your reservation. You could do SSR and OKW or one or the other.

We all want to do the dining plan in both rooms, but do the grandparents have to buy the same 4 day hopper pass like the rest of us, or can they buy a pass, say for magic kingdom and epcot only. They get tired very easily and dont want to do all the parks like the rest of us.

If you are a DVC member staying on points you don't have to purchase passes at all. For my upcoming trip next month I was not even asked about passes. They just added the plan to my reservation - no questions asked.
