Earlier in the year we emailed Guest Services about the possibility of adding the new MYW Dining Plan to DVC ressies and were told something is in the works......I wanted to check to see if anyone had checked lately before I re-email.????????

Thanks
Flo

No, but we do now have the DDE plan with APs, which we did not have before.

I spoke with our guide briefly about this and she said that they would have the dining plan with the MYW tickets, she knew this because it was covered in a "big meeting" the guides had. The hold up is getting it worked out in their system, I'm not exactly sure what that means however.

Way back when we joined DVC, there was a dining and activity option we could pay for. We never used it because it seemed redundant when you already have a kitchen in the unit. I think that was why the stopped it originally. Now though, I see lots of folks making statements about not wanting to use the kitchen, so maybe it makes sense again for some of those folks.

I have recently emailed DVC regarding this matter. They responded with it is under consideration. They also mentioned that a lot of members have had the same suggestion. I think the more people that write to DVC the more likely it will come available to us. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be available by the time I go.

I wrote a while back (about a month ago) and got the same response. Hopefully it will happen soon especially now that they have expanded the selection of snacks as well as many Epcot restaurants!:goodvibes I think it will be a great addition for the DVC'ers that don't go to Disney enough to warrant the purchase of an AP. Although I wish we COULD!;)

When you have to get it for every member of the party for length of stay, it is unlikely to be a good deal other than short stays.

Diane is referring to the Food n Fun plan. It was actually a very good deal early on but like many things in life, no good deed goes unpunished. It was the activities that made it a good deal, not the food itself.

I have been waiting and waiting for a food plan. That is the one and only thing I miss as an owner vs a non owner. We always loved the food plan option when we bought packages to Disney. It makes it so much nicer for budgeting purposes. I do like having a kitchen also for reheating.

Here is the reply I received today to an email I sent yesterday, asking about the MYW dining being offered to DVC members...

Dear Sharon,

Thank you for contacting Member Services.

At this time, Disney Vacation Club Members are not able to add a dining plan on to their
reservations. We are currently looking into adding this functionality to our Members.

Best Wishes,
Pepe
