Dining Plan Purchased Upon Arrival???

Our family is part of a large group attending WDW in June as part of an earned incentive trip. I have earned a 5-night package - at the Contemporary, with hopper passes for our family of 4. All of our breakfasts are included and we will receive a VISA card with money to cover all of our additional meals.

We have opted to arrive a day early and pay for our extra night at the Contemporary, but we have had no "personal" contact with Disney. All of our reservations have been made for us.

My question is, upon arrival at the Contemporary - will I have the option to purchase a Dining Plan for our family - and pay for it ourselves and pay for it at check-in? Or is this something that would have to be done at the time our initial reservation was made?

Thank you.

Dining plans must be added (and paid for) 72 hours or more in advance of your arrival date.

No, you can't.

A dining plan would need to be added at least 72 hours before you arrive. Check with whoever arranged your packages to see if they can add it for you, if you want one.

But if your breakfast is already paid for do you think you will be eating that much food? Is the breakfast a full breakfast or just bagels and stuff? I would try to figure how your family eats. In our family if we had a big breakfast we wwould either do a small snack in the afternoon and then dinner or have an early dinner and a snack later. Don't know that we could do full breakfast, 2 QS meals and 2 snacks a day. Or even full breakfast, 1 QS, 1 TS and 1 snack a day.

And unless the reservation is done as 2 seperte reservation you would have to get diniing for the entire stay. I woud sit down and figure out if you would really eat that much. And I would think disney would have you in the system with reservation under your name so you could call and add it but I think it would have to be paid for at the 45 day before mark (or when it is added) so you might not have the Visa card yet.

Congrats on earning the incentive :)

Thanks for the responses!!

My group consists of 4 adults and I know my son is a bottomless pit when it comes to food. Our breakfasts will most likely be "light", based on other incentive trips I've learned.

I was just thinking a counter service meal for lunch and a nice table service meal in the evening would be a good plan. I've already made all of my reservations and was just planning to "pay". Then started debating the Dining Plan.

I think I'll call WDW and see if they've got our name in the system (based on our group) and see what they suggest.
