Dining Plan Payment

I am looking at adding the dining plan to my reservation in July; this is our first DVC trip. When I got to the part of the portal to add it, I checked for the payment methods. Can I not use a Disney Giftcard to pay? Just wondered if I missed something.

You can consolidate Disney Gift Card balances (up to a max of $1000 per card) at DisneyGiftCard.com.

You can consolidate Disney Gift Card balances (up to a max of $1000 per card) at DisneyGiftCard.com.

They will also keep track of 5 cards for a total of 5,000

I think that we are finally jettison-ing the DDP. It's just not worth it anymore, well, it is for the servers at Boma.

(Not to dredge up a tip thread, but Boma does bother me...All they do is bring drinks and process payment, but they still get 18%, which on our bill made our server $46. That's a lot for a buffet server...)

I told my wife when we were there I was going to retire from being a physician and start serving at a place like that.

Just as an FYI, I used two different DGCs to pay my dues via the website just a couple weeks ago. Didn't have to consolidate them at all.

Do appreciate the info though of needing to call to use DGC for meal plans.

This may be our last DDP trip. Our oldest will count as an kid for the last time this coming trip... So, mathematically, it may not be worth paying for the convenience at that point. But, for now, we love the idea that we order whatever and don't worry about price. It is part of the "Disney bubble" that creates a little bit of magic for the adults. Next trip - we'll see.
