dining plan/park tickets

As DVC members, we are going to be staying at SSR soon. If we purchase our park tickets through AAA can we still buy the dining plan? Has anyone ever done this? I've heard you have to purchase your tickets through disney in order to be eligible for the dining plan, but I've also heard if you are a DVC member that it does not matter where you purchase your tickets? Any help would be appreciated. -Thanks!

You can book any of the dining plans in conjunction with your stay on DVC points, there are no ticket or other requirements.

Of purchasing our tickets thru AAA as well ... Are you able to use your room key if you buy the AAA tickets for entry in to the parks?

Your admission tickets can be added to your KTTW card at the Front Desk or Concierge at your resort.
