We have done free dining 2006, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2014, 2015.
It works for us because my wife loves the meals as part of the Disney experience.
OP, You have to eat some how so it is going to depend on what level resort you stay at and the time you expect to go in November.
Special will likely be out April 27-May 2nd range so watch for it.
Room discount at a value would likely save $20 - $30 per night. Maybe $50-60 at a moderate. Dining plan "cost" for the 2 of you is over $130 a night.
But truly, can you eat for the $20-$30 or $50-$60 per day. Maybe, but not very well.
