Dining Plan on Arrival Day

A question re the dining plan, do you have any meals allocated for arrival day or do they start from the first full day of your trip?

The dining credits are available upon check-in. They are not allocated per day, but pooled for the entire reservation. They are also counter per NIGHT of stay, and not day.

So, for example, on DDP (Disney Dining Plan), for 5 nights. This would give you 5 TS, 5 CS and 5 Snacks for your stay. When you check-in, all these credits would be immediately available for use. If you felt like it, you could burn all the credits at once (though I wouldn't recommend it ).

Like the PP said, they credit are available upon check in, and will be available until you use them - or midnight on the day you check out. You can use them however you want. Some days we have used 2 TS credits and 0 CS credits, and other days 1 TS and 1 CS. It just depends on how we schedule our days/TS meals. I think the time of day that you arrive & leave the resort also come into play. Some people arrive early and/or leave early on their check in/check out days. This may play into how you plan to use your dining credits.

We have done lots of WDW trips, but this is the first one ever using the Dining Plan, so it's all new to me, it's quite nice actually finding something about WDW which I know nothing about, makes me feel all 'new' again! I will no doubt be scanning this fabulous forum for information in the coming months to make the most of our credits for our trip.
