Dining plan musings: Will dinner become even more crowded?

Don't know if this has been addressed, and we haven't used the dining plan yet. But I imagine if I had the plan, I would probably always use the table-service credits for dinner in order to get my money's worth.. and because a three course meal at lunchtime in the middle of touring day is overkill to me. I would imagine most people would think along the same lines. So I'd probably only use the counter service credits for lunch. If everyone does the same thing is that going to lead to huge crowds at dinner... and lighter than before crowds at lunch? Or am I analyzing it too much?

I would imagine some restaurants would be more crowded but i think it would be balanced out by the people being "adventurous " and trying more restrauants that are on the dining plan

I'm on the plan for the first time in October. To get the best bang, the better restaurants and better choices like steak, lobster, etc. will be chosen more often. I have no doubt. I think Epcot will probably be the busiest.

I've been reading posts and it seems the biggest charge is to get the highest priced items at the highest priced places. If you do advance reservations, I don't think it will be too bad to get seated within a reasonable time frame. I believe there will be more manpower available. Disney can track the ressies; so, I rely on them doing the right thing by having more staff on board, too.

I think the reason Disney is doing this is to get more people using the sit down resturants in the parks at dinner time.

So yes, I do think the sit down resturants will have bigger crowds.

The counter service resturants may have lighter crowds at dinner time.

The counter service resturants have always been crowded at lunch time, and will continue to be.

Just my humble opinion. :rolleyes1

I think that all TS restaurants will be busier. Look at some of the responses on the boards (wait I'm getting my suit on), "eating our money's worth", "not looking at prices". For travelers like myself we've always preferred TS and we pay to eat where we like. I think people are going to be making numerous ressies so that the will have a "good" place to eat. Just my opinion.
