Dining plan/mug

Our package does include the dining plan. We were told that we would have to buy our own food etc on the last day. Now, since checkout of AOA is at 11 And we are leaving at 3 for airport, can we still use our mugs until 3 or do they expire like at 11:59 the night before? Thanks

This is the important point. If you have any credits left on your checkout day you can use them if you do not then you have to pay OOP. The TA may have assumed that you would be eating all your meals for each day you were there and in that case you would end up with no credits left on checkout day.

Depends on the dining plan you get.

For the current free dining plan promotions, values receive the QSDP (Quick Service Dining Plan) for free. This plan is the 2CS + 1Snack per person per night. Moderates and above receive the DDP (Disney Dining Plan). This is the 1TS + 1CS + 1Snack per person per night (both come with the mug). You can pay the difference between the plans to upgrade to a higher plan, but you cannot downgrade a promotional plan.

The basics of the 3 main plans (the 2 above, plus DxDDP (Deluxe Disney Dining Plan)) are identical. You will receive all credits for the entire stay upon check-in. These credits expire at midnight following check-out. You may use them in any order and amount* until they are gone or expired.

*(Note: There are per sitting limits based on the number and makeup of your party. For example, if you have 2 Adults and 2 Children on your plan, you can buy up to 2 adult meals and 2 children's meals per sitting, but you can sit at 4-5 meals in a single day if you desire).

Like the others have said, your credits and mugs are good until midnight the day you check out. Perhaps your agent assumed you'd use 1 full day's worth of credits the day you check in. A lot of people use 1 credit check in day and 1 credit check out day.

Any resort amenity is good until midnight of your checkout day.

If you purchase the dining plan, you can get any of the three plans. If you are on a free dining package, value resorts are given qsdp.

This is true, however, you can upgrade to the DDP or DlxDDP and pay the difference.

You just grab one for each person on the plan at the QS location at your resort, and when you go to the cashier, you hand over your KTTW card and they will deduct the mug credits from your dining plan credits.

I think all the questions have been answered here but just a point out that I have seen tons of miss-information given by TAs. The people on these boards have a lot more trips under their belts so its always a great idea to double checks things here. Sad that is needed, but have seen some really big information goofs made by TAs.
