 My family and a friend are going to Disney in December. I booked my trip but not through disney not realizing I now can't get the dining plan. Is there a way to get the quick dining another way than through booking my trip through disney??? Help!

Thanks, I will give them a call. I tried throught the online site I booked through but they said they could not. We are even staying at a Disney Resort!

The Disney Dining Plans (DDP) are available for purchase when you book a "package" (room and tickets) versus booking a room only (no tickets).

If you booked through a Travel Agent they may be able to change your room only reservation into a package buy adding the purchase of tickets; therefore you would be eligible to purchase the DDP.

You may also want to ask your travel agent to check to see if any of the new offers that have been released would apply to you trip.

Have a magical vacation and feel free to come back to ask any more questions.

We went thru AAA (past 4 trips) and they could always add the DDP. Check your Travel Agent and see if they can add it.

The Dining PLan has be booked as part of your package. You need to be staying at a Disney resort and have purchased park ticket(s) as part of your package to be able to add the Dining Plan to your package. I do not believe the new Quick Dining Plan starts until 2009. If you are going in December, your option would be the regular DDP. I would suggest calling some restaurants now, or have your travel agent do so, to make sure that you can still get ADRs for restaurants and times you would like. Since you are going next month, it may be difficult to get ADRs at this time.

Do you have a travel agency? Call them and tell them you want to switch to a package booking. Be aware you will need to buy park tickets as part of the package if you want the dining plan.

The quick service plan is not available until January, so you'd need to get either the regular or deluxe plan if you want a plan.

If you booked through an agency like Expedia, you may not be able to change to a package booking. They may deal in rooms only and be unable to add tickets and dining.

If you went through Expedia or something similar then you cannot also get a DDP.
The DDP is part of a WDTC package, and is exclusive through WDTC. Even AAA is buying the packages from WDTC.
