Right now we have TS ressies with O'Hana, Boma, Le Cellier, Sci Fi, Spoodles, and breakfast the last day at Chef Mickey's.

O'Hana and Boma are traditions and can't be missed, and Le Cellier is a must b/c we've never tried it before. I just switched from H&V to Sci Fi today and it looks cool. We have ressies for 6:35, will we have time for Fantasmic? This is on Sat. 8/19.

I'm wondering if we should switch from Spoodles to Cap'n Jacks. I just saw a review on the resorts board and I've looked at their menu and it looks awesome. I know at O'Hana, Spoodles, and Le Cellier I'd be having some variety of steak on all three nights. At Cap'n Jack's I can get a crab cakes appetizer, two lobster tails, and cheesecake! What a deal. I just want to confirm that this food is as good as it sounds before switching. I've never heard much about Cap'n Jack's before.

Thanks!

Somehow our ressie at Spoodles was incorrectly booked as AM and nothing else was available that night so we had to change to Cap'n Jacks. Looks too good to pass any way.

I think I'm going to try to get a ressie at Captn Jacks too. I have one more to decide on and I think that is the one that sparks my tastebuds. I agree, crab cakes and lobster....it doesn't get much better than that. :teeth: If anybody has any good or bad to pass along about Captn Jacks please do let us know what you think!

We make it a point to eat at Spoodles every year we go. Last being in 2005. The food, service, atmosphere and location is outstanding. Although I have read lately that it has been taking a beating in reviews. It's been so good for as long as we've gone (especially next June while we're staying at the BWV), I'm sure we'll be going again.

We also make it a point to eat at Le Cellier evey year even though we eat there at lunch. We do so because their Open Face Sirloin Steak Sandwich is only on their lunch menu. It is the most amazing sandwich I've ever had. We don't even bother with menus. It's the same. That and the Cheddar Cheese Soup.

I suppose I could request it at dinner. Maybe we'll try that.

Many pixies,
Andy :hourglass

I'm afraid I've never eaten at Spoodles, so can't compare them. I have eaten at Cap'n Jack's twice though (Sept '05 and May '06) and enjoyed it both times. Last Sept we ordered steaks and the waitress offered lobster as free add ons. My son told her he didn't like lobster so she told him to order it and give it to his dad. Knowing he wouldn't eat it she brought it out on its' own plate, so my ex had two lobster tails in addition to his steak. Between us we ordered the tomato appetizer, crab cakes, steaks, lobsters, cheesecake, and some other kind of cake. All were good and service was excellent.

In May my mom and I went and we had clam chowder, crab cakes, ribs, a seafood pasta dish, cheesecake, and key lime pie. Again all were good and service was excellent. Both times we had food left over. Also both times we asked for a seat next to a window, which was nice.

Anyway Cap'n Jack's sometimes gets bad reviews here on the DIS boards, but we've enjoyed it.

spoodles. keep trying to get the day/time you want. or, keep the breakfast ADR. the restaurant serves an excellent breakfast. good luck!

Spoodles has an excellent breakfast, but if you can get in at dinner, I would go there before Cap't Jack's any day.

The 4 cheese flatbread is like heaven on a plate. We have eaten at Spoodles very trip since they opened. We usually go our first night, and when I bite into that gooey wonderful flatbread, I know I am at WDW!

We had a nice time at Capt Jacks when we were there last Sept and have plans to go back this year. The crab cakes were really good as was the lobster.
