If you do a one night stay at a resort, not DVC, just a regular resort, you can add the dining plan for that one night without the purchase of tickets, right? If so, does that one night have to be at rack rate or could it be on a discounted rate?

You should be able to add a dining plan to and resort reservation. It will require converting it to a package (even ticketless), under the normal package payment rules.

And no need for rack rate; you can add it to a discounted rate. BUT you have to call to add it; it can't be done online. Ask for a ticketless package.

I was thinking this was a possibility.
