Hi All: I know this topic has come up before and I just want to be clear....

1) If my kids do not like a cs choice, I can order them for the adult menu? Or will the person taking the order see that you have kids on your dining plan (listed on the card) and refuse to take the order??

2) Sit-down menu dining will not allow child to order off of adult menu because of portion size? Do they allow child to order off adult menu??Or will they help substitute choices in order to please the child???

Any information on this is welcome. SORRY if the questions are repeats of older threads :(.

*Note: We added the dining plan for our two year old for our up coming trips in May and October because he always wanted his own when we went this past December. So, they do allow you to buy a package for children under three! We are actullay just curious to see if they will NOT take his off the total when we go to buffet/ character meals. It would be nice if they didn't because then we can use his left over meals for an extra sit-down. We will see in May!!

1) if you are ordering a meal for your kids and there is a kid's menu available at the location, Disney asks that you order a kid's meal for your child. You are only allowed to order up to the number of meals designated on your card at any one time. (Ex: 2A/2C or 3A/1C, etc) If you go to a CS location without a children's menu, then you can order any CS meals for all members of your party, children or adults.

I suggest that you order kid's meals for breakfast and share and then order adult meals for lunch and share with your entire family. We found that worked very well for us. You also have the option of buying extra adult sandwiches, etc for cash/OOP if your child doesn't like the "entree" option at the kid's meal CS menu and then just can eat the sides and drink that come with the kids CS meals.

2) At TS, kids order off the kids menus. You can ask for a kids sized portion of an adult entree, but I wouldn't really hold your breath on that! TS restaurants will work with you on substitutions (hold the sauce, grilled vs fried, etc but I doubt they'll give you steak if the menu is pita pizza.) If the kids menus don't appeal to you at the restaurants, then skip it and choose more buffets.

Before anyone jumps on this one....

The server will take the card, see how many people are on the plan and charge your card the appropriate credits. Even though the dining plan is free for your dates, you will be purchasing a ticket forf admission for the child. If you age the child up for one part of the trip, it is for all elements of the trip.

For CS, the server should not let you order all adult meals. It has been communicated that they are to put through the appropriate number of adult or child meals based on the party description on the card.

TS meals have a child's menu and an adult menu. Children cannot order off the adult menu unless you plan on paying out of pocket. The children's DDP is priced at 11.99. The child's menu is more limiting both due to majority of children's food choices and price. Whether the plan is at no cost to you or you are paying, the child's menu remains the same.

Now for everyone else responding, please answer the OP questions and let's not comment on the desire to have the server not charge the 3 yo for buffets so they can get an extra free TS meal. Let's not have this one get out of control and locked. Nuff said?
