Dining Plan for DVC members

Does anybody know if you can use disney gift cards to pay for your dining plan? I used to do it all the time, but now that you have to pre pay over the phone...I was wondering if there was a way to still use gift cards. Thanks!

I bought Disney gift cards at our local grocery store when they were on sale. I used 20 of them (listing numbers 1 by 1) on the phone to pay for the dining plan. Poor Cast member!

What grocery store? I have never seen "gift cards" actually be sold for less than what they are worth..

typically, Sams club has them @ slight discount during holidays with a bonus $10 disneystore card

i wait until our local grocery store (giant eagle) has special fuel perks promo of $.20 off $50 giftcard puchase.

i bought enough to pay for DSs vacation and pay off my DCL cruise, had several tanks of free gas for 2 vehicles

My local grocery store (Jewel), has a promotion where you buy $100 in gift cards, and you get a coupon for $20 off your grocery bill. My dining plan is going to cost about $1000, so I will get $200 in free groceries.
