Dining Plan - Does your party have to dine together at table service meals?

I have a few Dining Plan questions ...

1) Does your party have to stick together when dining at Table Service Restaurants? What if your group splits up from time to time and doesn't plan to always dine together?

2) How many dining key cards do you get for your group? Does each adult get one, or is there only one per group? We have teenage children. If we split up are they able to use the dining plan without an adult over 18 present?

3) One member of our party may be leaving a couple of days early. I realize that we have to order the same package (tickets and meal plan) for each member of our group. If one person leaves we will have several meals left from them. Are the meals for your group clumped together as one batch, or do they keep track of each individual person's meals? Would we be able to use those unused meals and snacks for he remainder of our party considering we purchased it as a family package? I hope that makes sense!

4) Can the adults use more of the table service credits while the teens use the counter service credits (since they prefer pizza and burgers)?

Nope, the group does not have to dine all together at all.

Each person on the reservation ages 3 and up will receive a KTTW card. This card is the room key, park tickets (if applicable), and dining plan thingy. Every card in the room has access to the entire pool of credits.

YES! The entire room's reservations are pooled, as such, every person in the room has access to the entire pool of credits. The only exceptions to this are mixing between adult and child credits. No matter what the changes in the middle of the trip (e.g. one person leaving early), the entire pool expires at midnight following check-out.

4) Can the adults use more of the table service credits while the teens use the counter service credits (since they prefer pizza and burgers)?
Absolutely.

Basically, a good way to think about it is not individual credits per person, but rather access to a larger pool of credits. The size of the pool is determined by the number and makeup of the party, but access is open to all.

Thanks for the clarity and speedy response. You made it easy to understand. I've been to Disney many times since the 1970's, but the Dining Plan is new to us.
