Dining plan credits

We are 2 adults and 2 children using the dining plan in October. We are travelling with my parents who are not on the dining plan.
Are we able to use the dining plan when we eat at restaurants with my parents ? I know we can't use credits to pay for their meals but I assume we can pay OOP for them and use dining plan for us. Is this correct?

Also, we have ressies at CG for just DW and myself while my parents babysit Will we be able to use our dining plan credits when only 2 out of the 4 of us are eating. I realise this would mean the kids would have 2 more TS credits each remaining which leads me to ask would we be able to use those credits for them elsewhere and pay OOP for ourselves?

I'm really sorry that this sounds so complicated but any info would be appreciated. TIA

Yes, you can use the plan. They will split the check between those on the plan and those who are not.

And yes, you may use the plan to pay for meals when not all of you are present. You may also use the children's credits for their meals somewhere while you pay OOP. Just let your server know which meals you will be paying with dining credits and which meals you will be paying by some other method.
