Dining plan- credits question

I am thinking of taking my parents to WDW next year- My family and parents will stay in 2 adjoining rooms and all be on the dining plan. My brother and his family will be there in another room NOT on the plan. My parents don't eat very much.
If my parents don't plan on using all their credits can my brother use some?

Yes. You can "gift" your credits to people at any time. But, I believe your parents would have to be there in order to do it. It's not like they could just give them their card and send them on their way. At least I don't think they could do that

But they can definately use their credits to pay for a meal for everyone and the points are just subtracted from their plan.
