We are looking at the dining plans and are considering doing the premium or platinum plan. We know we definitely want to do the LA Nuba and couple other dinner shows. Is it worth the price to get one of these? I have done the premium plan years ago and enjoyed the convenience of it back then just not sure how much it has changed since then. I having hard time locating all the individual prices of everything to do a breakdown comparison.

The premium and platinum plans are not Disney dining plans. It's a different program and has different rules. One of the main things to remember is that ALL restaurants are one credit on the package plans. Even the signatures.

If you want the individual prices for dinner shows (Hoop de Doo, Spirit of Aloha and Mickey's Backyard Barbecue), they are listed on a sticky thread in the main Restaurants board.

OK I'm confused then..why are they listed as part of the dining plan choices? They include everything of the dining plans plus add on.. Is that what changes it?
Thank you for the location of prices that helps a lot .

It's a completely different program, evidenced by the fact that you cannot upgrade a Disney dining plan to the premium or platinum plan (you'd have to cancel and rebook), nor are the package plans available on a DVC reservation whereas Disney Dining Plans are. There is also a 3 night minimum for the package plans and no options for ticketless packages. With the dining plans the only time you get a minimum is for the free dining promotion.

It's just easier for them to be categorized with the dining plans, although premium/platinum have different booking rules and obviously include much more than just dining. The dining component of the premium/platinum is very similar to the deluxe dining plan, with the main difference being that all restaurants are one dining credit.

Makes sence I guess. Never new that info. We like the dinner shows and such so it made more sence to go with what was going to be covered at that time. This time we are considering the tours as well as we didn't have time to fit any in last time. Doing a price comparison though of everything we want to do and see which way we get more bang for our Buck
