Dining plan calculator?

We thought we had decided to skip the DDP, but since we have changed a few reservations I went back to the calculator to check again. It has it listed as Boma dinner for 4, next week, costing $201. I thought the price was closer to $160-$170. Can someone help me figure this out? We also have a DVC discount and are considering TIW. Thank you in advance!

What are you trying to figure out?

Here is the current prices of buffet etc restaurants. TheRustyScupper updates when possible. If your date is not listed it is not announced yet. You can get an idea from these.
Other than these look at the prices on the menus on allears.net to get an idea of what a meal will cost. It is certainly not exact but is good for planning

Thanks~ That's what I've been referring to. We are going next week. But when I use the dining calculator it says Boma dinner for 4 is $201.02. I'm figuring it's about $170. For breakfast I get $98, but they say $115. These all add up to a big difference as we are eating at Boma for many meals. If the inflated prices on DPC are accurate then the DDP may be better for us.

I just plugged it in as well. If you drill down, you'll see it says $170 for the meal and $30 for tip.

I'm not sure what dining calculator you are referring to but I know the one that is normally recommended around here only uses averages. I wouldn't use it. Go to WDW's web site and look at actual prices, take your discount off the top and add tip to the non-discounted price. A pain I know, maybe set up a spreadsheet. It's been my experience if you are not going to eat at a lot of AYCE and/or character meals or signature TS restaurants, the dining plan is not a good deal.

We've been using distripplanner.com, which says we would be saving using the regular DDP. We are considering this for only one leg or our split stay.
