I've been going to DIsney World from 2005-2015 and always had the dining plan which worked out well for my mom and I.
I really want to go to Universal, but curious if they have a dining plan like Disney has?

Following this as I am going to both parks and want to know as well.
From what I can find though there is no dining plan at universal.

They used to sell dinning cards for quick service that were slightly better than paying out of pocket as long as you used it correctly.
They don't have that anymore. It was a reasonable deal when they offered them at a discount for AP holders.

I think they have occasionally run package deal where you got a food gift card and they sometimes have deals for AP holders to buy a discounted food gift card (usually during Mardi Gras)

Personally I don't want to see them add something like the DDP - as far as I am concerned that ruined Disney dinning. They raised prices to make it look like a better deal, they standardized everything, they stopped selling more unique items and the entire dining experience, especially in Epcot, went down hill.
