Does anyone know if the T-Rex in included in the dining plan? I didn't see it on the list so I am guessing no...but maybe:confused:

It's not. I wish it were. We plan to dine there later this month.

Premium and platinum plans only. T-Rex will not participate in the regular or deluxe DDP.

We were just in Disney, and our friends that travelled with us eagerly tried it out and reported that it was terrible. The food was undercooked, the DH had a piece of wood in his burger, and they took forever and got the orders incorrect twice.

They did say if you go (and we decided not to) to stay in the Ice Cavern part, that it was the coolest...

hopefuly my 2 cents will save you lots of cents...here goes:

I live near Kansas City, which has the only other T-Rex restaurant in the world. It has been open for about 1-2 yrs, not exactly sure. Of course all restaurants have their growing pains as they sort things out, but here we are years later and its still not worth the time or money (IMO).

Of course Disney is a whole other world, a kingdom to be exact, but I can't imagine the food being much different. (Yo Quiero...Taco Bell is still Taco Bell no matter where you are)

The theme is cool and the decor is great, but the food and price leaves room for improvement.

PS - if you have eaten at Rain forest its the same thing, just different theme. I recommend stopping in for some cool pictures, but high tail it someplace else for food.

We have gone to the one in Kansas city this past summer. We loved it. Maybe it was a bad day for the people you were with. The servings were HUGE. We ordered 2 desserts for 6 and we really only needed one. Our son loved the icee in specal glass. Also making s'mores at the table was a big hit. Hopefully it was either a bad day or growing pains. :confused3

We had dinner there a few days after they opened. Food and service was great!

I had heard they did not even honor the Safari Club card until this month.

the T-Rex menu seems very similar to Rainforest - just different theme.

We ate at the T-Rex in DTD two days after it opened. The food was good, but the service was horrible. Our waitress took forever and would disappear for long periods of time. It appeared that her "supervisor" was standing in the corner making notes about what was going on. We were at the restaurant shortly after it opened for lunch, and were there for almost 2 hours! We plan on trying it again, but we'll see how they do next time.
