Dining plan and points...? Is it gone?

My wife went to the travel agents the other day and one of the agents just got back from WDW last week. He said that WDW doesn't do the points anymore for the dining plan. Does this makes sense to anyone? He said that you get 1 counter and 1 sit down a day. Thing is, he didn't have the dining plan so how in the world would he know this? Thanks for any info.

Experience over 100 selected Walt Disney World restaurants including our legendary Disney Character Dining. For each night on your package, you enjoy:
1 table-service meal including appetizer, entree, dessert, and nonalcoholic beverage and gratuity charge
1 counter-service meal including entree, dessert and nonalcoholic beverage at select counter-service locations
1 snack, such as a frozen ice cream bar, box of popcorn, 20 oz bottle of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Dasani water or a medium fountain soft drink at select snack cart locations

Thanks Tigger. I understand and follow that. But members on this site said that they were points?? Am I confused here?

It's hard to explain. It's easier to understand the program with points. Either way the program is the same. Examples:

I'm going with me and DH for 7 nights so we get 7 snacks, 7 counter service, and 7 table service meals each. If you want you can translate that into points, so together we have 14points of each of the three levels.

Some restuarants (signature) require two TS credits or points. So I think it's easier to understand the meals as points, not meals since some meals are 2 credits.

Does that make sense?
