If you are choosing either concierge or DDP then DDP is probably a better value vis a vis food for your party. As concierge service also has a aura of exclusivity, a lounge, private checkin, some assistance on planning in making ADRs and intineraries you may value that. I think for most disboarders who know WDW inside and out the itinerary aspect might be of little value. Since the regular DDP only covers 2 meals a day, you could combine concierge and DDP and take advantage of the continental breakfast. The DxDDP, with three meals a day and 2 snack would seem to render the concierge level food benefit redundant.
we stayed rpc @ gf & they had continual offerings, but not really meals...we grabbed breakfast in the a.m. & cookies in the afternoon, we always ate 1 ts per day....we did not do the ddp, but I did not feel the concierge offerings could replace a meal, basically a snack stop & convenient continental type bfast.
this year we're staying @ cr & plan to get the ddp
This May will be our 4th say concergie twice AKL and once GFRPC and we have taken the dining plan and found that it worked well for us since as the above poster said the food offerings are not meant to be full meals other than breakfast. As well we find that after a few days of cold cereal we want something different so will have breakfast out.
This year after going back and forth because of the changes in the dining plan we finally decided to do the deluxe dining and will use some of our credits for meals in our room and dining at the signature dining places.
