?? Dining plan and character meals??

Hi there:
Never had any interest in the Dining plan since we are DVC members and it was not available to us. Now that it will be available for the next trip I'm trying to find info. Can anyone tell me about character dining and the credits?? Is it 1 TS credit for these meals?? I thought I saw somewhere that there were changes to the plan for this year, but now that I'm trying to find it again it seems to have vanished. Any information would be appreciated.

We did 6 character meals on our dining plan in August and all were 1 TS credit each. That is GREAT news about DVC members being able to get the Dining Plan. That was one of our major reasons for not joining DVC. We are going to have to look into it again when we are there next week.
We have 4 planned for next week: CP (dinner and breakfast), LTT and Garden Grill and they are all 1 TS.

CRT will be 2 TS after Feb 1, but all other character meals are 1 TS

Thanks for your responses. I guess I had read that CRT was increasing but wasn't sure if all the other character dining was too. I made our ADR's for CP, LTT and Cape May Cafe and when I thought I needed 2 TS's for each of us I couldn't see how it would work. Now that they will be offering it to DVC members I really think it will be great. My DH entered all of our meals in a spreadsheet this afternoon and without some of the breakfasts and none of the snacks, the dining plan still seems to be a great deal for us. I bought our passes the other day before the price increases thanks to the Budget Board and now with the help with the dining plan I can add to my savings. Of course I view all savings as more cash to shop with when I hit the shops!!!!!

Just remember the best deal is to use your TS for Dinners. If your only planning one Liberty tavern for Dinner is Character.
