Dining Plan and California Grill

Anyone eaten at California Grill on the dining plan? Just want to see what its like. Planning to be there February of 2008. What did you order did you feel like you got your monies worth?

We ate at California Grill and LOVED it. We were not on the dining plan at the time but the food and ambiance was awesome. We also ate later in the evening and got to go out on the walkway to watch the fireworks over at MK. We are going for a week in September/October and we plan to eat there again then (and we will be on the dining plan). I've eaten at CA Grill before OOP, but am planning on going again next year with the DDP.

We plan to eat at the Grill on the DDP next year. I really want to try and time it during the fireworks. I don't know the layout of the restaurant or anything but I hear it's great for seeing the fireworks.

We ate there in May 2007, obviously on the 2007 DDP, and we loved it. It was the best meal we've ever had at Disney, and we thought it was well worth 2 TS credits under the old plan, which included both appetizer and tip.

I doubt that we would use DDP for CG under the 2008 plan, because CG is one of the restaurants where the changes really hurt you big-time.

At many restaurants, the loss of the appetizer is no big deal to us, but at CG the appetizers are an important part of the meal. Two TS credits for a CG meal that doesn't include one of their outstanding appetizers is a rip-off, IMHO.

I'd rather eat at one of the fine-dining restaurants offsite and pay more realistic prices out of pocket.
