I just read about a dining pass in the Seth Kubersky book on Universal Orlando. Our family is thinking about eating at Mythos on a non-park day. Apparently you can go to a designated park entrance, say you have Mythos reservations, present a credit card to be charged up front for park tickets, and get a 2.5 hour dining pass. After your restaurant receipt is stamped with a time, you have 30 min. to get back to the park entrance with your Mythos receipt in order to have your credit card slip for park tickets torn up. Otherwise, your credit card is charged the price of a park ticket for each person in your party.
The latest thread I could find on this was from a couple of years ago. Has anyone used this privilege recently, and how did it go for you?

Since I hadn't seen any discussion on dining passes, I thought I'd better pose a question about it, instead of automatically counting on it. Rats, I was really hoping that dining passes were still in effect. We only have one day in the park, and I'm not sure we can afford the time on our only park day to eat at Mythos, even though I'd love to. Anyway, thanks for setting the record straight. (Hopefully Seth Kubersky will do likewise in his 2013 edition.

I'll have to try it this go 'round!
