As I understand it:
In order to get the dining option you need to buy a package which includes room, tickets and dining. Everyone in the same room must have the same options.
The dining option corresponds to the number of nights you are booked into your resort.(no variations allowed) You can use it the day you check in and the day you check out. Hence if you are booked for 4 nights you can use the dining oPtion as soon as you check in (we checked in at 6am and went straight to breakfast) and until midnight the day you check out. For each night booked you get one dinner, one counter meal and one snack. For a 4 night stay for 2 people in the room you'd get 8 dinners, 8 counters etc. The meals are combined so that each party has access to all of the meals on their card- either one could theoritically use them all.
THE PACKAGE MUST ALSO CONTAIN THE SAME TICKET OPTION FOR EACH PERSON ON THE RESERVATION. You must have a ticket included in the package but it only needs to be one day. The nice thing about this rule is that no one is prohibited from upgrading once you get to the resort. If one person doesn't need a ticket ( has an AP for instance) you can still order and pay for a single day MYW ticket for each of the 2 occupants of the room. Then when you get to your resort the person needing tickets for all 4 days can upgrade. The other person could just hold onto their ticket and use at a later date. (I upgraded a one day ticket to an AP- no problem while everyone else just got 4 day tickets) Just remember you have to upgrade before the ticket is used.
Finally you have to have a room as part of the reservation. You may use certain discounts such as
AAA (must book AAA pkg through AAA -can't get AAA discount on room with pkg through CRO) also some pins seem to work. HOWEVER you can not get a package using an AP discount for a room- even if you are willing to buy a new ticket ( as in the example above).
SO remember for a meal plan you need to book a package which includes the room, tickets and the meal plan with exactly the same components for all occupants of the room. Hope this isn't too much- insomnia is a killer!!!!!
