I think we will be staying at RPH for our short visit in August, is there anywhere in that resort to eat that would not break the bank, I like the sounds of Sal's Diner but that is at PBH, we want casual, two kids 15 and 16
one a very picky eater, so I thought pizza might satsify her, she is happy with just fries or chicken fingers or pizza,

We enjoyed the pool restaurant. Low key and delivered pool side. What could be better. Food was very reasonable and drinks very good!

Have fun

Also jakes Bar, but at the resort its not cheap, there is a panda express and a couple of others in Citywalk, but restaurants are all IMHO pretty similar in price.
looking at Sals prices , i would pay a bit extra for a meal at The Islands or Jakes, and like pp said the Bula grille does good food althought maybe a bit limited for choice, but would stay at the pool on a few occassions and just eat there.
have a look here at some of the restaurant onsite choices and prices, go into each Universal resort and chose dining options

Thanks alot for your replys, the pool side sounds great to me, couldn;t get much more casual then that, I was also checking out Margaritta's on City walk, I know all the dining will be more expensive, I guess that is why you are on vacation, more interested in making sure there is something for the picky daughter to eat, I don;t want to listen to her complain she is hungry 1 hour later, thanks again

I agree with Jakes at RPR and while its not cheap the portions are huge and one of our favorite places to eat and Margarittaville is so so but love their valcano nachos and its big enough for 4 to share and we also like Nascar Grille cause the food is good and prices are very reasonable and if you have a AAA card you can get a 10% discount :thumbsup2

We had nachos and a fruit/cheese plate for 2 adults and 3 kids to share one night by the pool thinking we would go out later for dinner. We didn't even finish the nachos, and everyone that walked by said "wow!" those look good. They were and no one felt like going out later. So we were set for the evening.
Another night we ordered 2 pizzas from room service - they were typical cracker crust bland pizzas, but they got the job done.
We weren't trying to avoid restaurant sit down meals - it just kinda happened that way with everyone being exhausted by the end of the day. But it was also very inexpensive evenings. :woohoo:

Can throughly recommend the Loaded nachos at the Pool. DW and myself are not usually ready for food at breakfast, so we usually have something around 1 usually at the pool, and the Nachos shared do the job, and then usually have a late dinner, more than enough for 2 to share
