I will be staying at OKW for my trip in May with DH and my parents. We are not members of the Disney Vacation Club-- my parents have a Marriott timeshare and traded to stay there. First of all, are we eligible for the dining plan, and how does it work?

Oh, and if it makes a difference--my parents are AP holders, but DH & I already bought hoppers.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The dining plan is currently only available to guests book a package that include room and tickets.

There's talk of DVC members being able to add the dining plan to their reservations soon - but I don't know how that would work since your reservation is through Marriott.

Actually, I have a friend who owns DVC and was able to get the plan-- I guess she must have booked it at the time of making the reservation.

I'm a DVC member and the dining plan is available to us as of reservations for(I think) 4/1/06.

I don't know if it would be available to you since you traded in.

Do you know about the DDE card? It's available to AP holders. The cost is $60.00 and you get a 20% discount on meals at most sit down restaurants on property. One card is good for your entire part (up to 9 people) and I think the discount is even taken on drinks. It's worth looking into.
