Hi Everyone! After months of planning we are finally back and I wanted to share our dining experiences with everyone.

As soon as we flew in we headed straight to as we call it "The Earl" also known as Earl of Sandwich. I got the tuna melt and DH got the club and we shared a side of fruit. I cannot stress enough how amazing this place is. The line seemed long but it went by fast and the food is always excellent and very cheap! Overall amazing experience!

We went to MNSSHP that night (just DH and I). We had ressies at 6:40 at LTT (Liberty Tree Tavern) but showed up at 6:15 or so. They seated us right away to our surprise although it was pretty busy. The meat was dry although my husband really liked all the food. DH HATES Mac and Cheese and loved what was served here. The only problem was our server was terrible. In the beginning he told us it was all you can eat but after that we hardly ever saw him and when we did ask for more he did seem annoyed. No worries the character interaction was wonderful and we got loads of pictures. We had sweet potatoes which I do not like normally but these were seasoned with some sort of cinnamon and spices that were great but for some reason we never got mashed potatoes. Others around us did but when I asked the server he told us they didn't serve mashed potatoes which I found odd. The green beans were very yummy as well. DH's only complaint that since the meat was a little dry they never served us gravy. Our server was terrible but this is a restaurant we would eat at again, not every trip but the food was good. Make sure that you get all of your food though, thats my only suggestion!

BTW DH and I wore Domino's shirts and visors to the MNSSHP party on October 2nd...did anyone see us? We were a hit and cast members galore told us how great of an idea that was! It was fast and easy and took hardly any room in the luggage..we loved it!

For lunch the next day we ate at Le Cellier. We had ressies at 11:30 which is when they open and we got there a few minutes early. As soon as they called our name the man said "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!" and sat us down and was super friendly. Our waitress said the same thing as soon as she visited our table as well. How special! This was BY FAR the best meal we have ever had in Disney World. We were told that they were voted number 2 on all of Disney property and that Victoria and Albert's was number one. Everything was excellent from the second they called our name. We had the cheese soup which was good, DH got the mussells and the bread OH the bread. I am not a big fan of pretzels but their pretzel bread is to die for. The other 2 were just OK and we asked for more and our waitress brought it right out. I ate more then I would like to tell anyone! For our lunch DH got the prime rib sandwich which was fantastic and I got the BBQ chicken sandwich which was very tasty. The french fries were crispy and big and just great! At the end they asked us if we would like a dessert and we said no. They still brought out a chocolate mouse dessert with some berries and Happy Anniversary on the plate with a card signed by the entire wait staff. This is by far a must for every trip! PLEASE go and enjoy you will not be disappointed!

For dinner we ate in Japan in the steakhouse. Teppankiyi (I know I spelled that wrong) although we had ressies we still waited for 30 minutes or so. I would rate this meal as just OK. The server getting us drinks and taking our plates was wonderful and the chef was nice but he never got that into it..he made a few jokes and did a few cool things but nothing like we thought it would be. The scallops were amazing and DH got a sushi smapler as a starter which we said was the most fresh sushi he has ever had...all of the food was good but in a situation like this we felt you pay more for the entertainment and it was just so-so. I looked around to notice the other chefs and none of them seemed to be that into it so maybe that is the environment there. The food was very good and very tasty but I don't think we would eat here again because the entertainment was just mediocre.

For breakfast the next AM we went to Donald's Breakfasaurus in AK. Our ressies were for 9 and it was raining very much so we didn't get there till 9:15. We had to wait for awhile but that was OK. Our waitress was wonderful here. They had a hot and cold bar and a great selection of food. I didn't think there was anything special about the food here...everything was just OK. They had chocolate chip pancakes which I was realy excited about but they weren't that tasty. The character interaction was great. Donald was walking around and missed our table and then left for a few minutes and came back out. DH said we should leave but I wanted to wait since he was the main star...when he came back out the cast member assisting him came right up to us and said he would be with us next which I thought was great! We decided it was fun but we both agreed that Chef Mickey's is much better then this buffet...so it was worth it to us to try and make that decision and now we have!

For dinner on Wednesday night this was the meal I had been most excited about. DH proposed to me at Ohana a few years back during a family brunch when he just showed up and he had flown in to surprise me (from Maryland!) so this restaurant was very special. I had ordered a tiny 6" cake from the BoardWalk Bakery to celebrate as well. We were seated almost right away and had the best table of all. We had ressies at 5:30 so we weren't planning on watching Wishes but it was a beautiful view. I had read so much about this meal and was really excited..but in the end we were both disappointed. The food was good..the scalloped potatoes were great but thats about it that was out of this world. The meat was dry (which I have read about over and over on the DIS of other people thinking the same thing and sad to say it is true) and even though they do serve dipping sauces the one I did like didn't taste right with the meat. The salad was good too. Our waitress was not that great..with our experience we had 2 servers and the man who took our plates and refilled our drinks was very nice, but the woman who brought the food took her time and was just OK... One thing I thought was VERY odd was that they made us keep the cake at our table. She told us the kitchen would not allow different food in it even thought it was made on Disney property. I found this odd but figured it wasn't that big of a deal. So in the end we would not eat here again..the food was OK but I have read SO many threads on the Dis of amazing food and when you are in Disney thats what you look for so for right now we still are just sticking with the Earl and Le Cellier.

The next day we had ressies at Sci Fi but skipped them and ate at the Backlot Tour Commissionary (sp?!) which was pretty good. My favorite was I finally got to try a Dole Whip. DH even took a picture with me and it because he had been hearing about it for months...ok I have a secret I had 2!! I had one pineapple soft serve and pineapple juice and several hours later had one with pineapple and vanilla swirl softserve with the pineapple juice. I still can't decide which I liked best!

And last but not least we did leave for the Disney cruise Thursday morning and then on Sunday when we returned we drove back to downtown disney and ate again at Earl..our first and last meal. Please feel free to email with any questions! Thanks everyone for all of your help...I cannot tell you how many times I thanked the DIS out loud while in WDW because all it has taught me. I even bought one of those platsic 2 dollar bracelets in WDW that is lime green with the Mickey ears all around it. The DIS forever! :wave2:

Enjoyed reading your reviews ~ Thanx for posting.

That was a great post! LeCellier is my favourite (and not just because I'm Canadian!!) :lovestruc I love how candid you were about the dole whips! :rotfl2:

Your review was excellent! Thank you so much for taking the time to post. I was thinking of adding Ohana because wa cancelled H&V but after your review, no way! Now I want Le Cellier!

Happy Anniversary!

Thanks for posting! Good idea about the lime green bracelet! I'm going to pick one up when I get there.

Happy Anniversary! That sounds as if you had a wonderful meal at Le Cellier. Nice touches by the staff!
