can anyone tell me what it is like dining at the end of a lucnehon buffet time? We are thinking of doing Crystal Pal for lunch on our day of arrival but it would need to be a late lunch i.e. 2:30 and the luncheon buffet closes at 3 with the dinner buffet starting at 4. Will be be limited on our time in the restaurant? Will they stop refreshing the platters at 3? I'd hate to pay the ocst of the buffet and not be able to eat all the yummy salmon we want to eat!
TIA for the input!:goodvibes

I wish I could help answer your question, but I do have the same one. I have two breakfast buffets booked for 10:00am and I don't want the remnants either!! I'm sure my sons will be starving by that time and will be ready to inhale everything!!!

I can't say on the breakfast one, but what we found for crystal palace we did a late lunch at about the same time. They were keeping the food fresh like even if there was food but it just looked meh they would refresh it. We did not find anything wrong with eating that late. When we also went that late it was prior to DDP, I know a long time ago, so it was easier to get ressies and also places didn't have the crowds they do now.

When we were there this past November, it was great....lunch ended while we were eating and out came the dinner items....we had the best of both worlds!! The same thing happened when we did Tusker House bfast and it ended and crossed over to lunch.....yum yum!!

Breakfast will be fine around 10am. We had a breakfast buffet just before 11am and everything was still being refilled at that time!

We ate there at 4:00 last Aug. before the P&P party. We checked in early and were seated at a few minutes before 4. The place was full with people in various stages of their meal. Except for the fact that there may be a few new items out on the buffet, I doubt you would even notice the change from lunch to dinner. In other words, stay until you are finished and because it is not a complete change over of food as lunch and dinner are similar there shouldn't be a problem with freshness.:goodvibes

One good thing about a late breakfast is that you can turn it into a brunch at some buffets. You get breakfast foods and then lunch foods as they switch it out. I've done it once by mistake at Hollywood N Vine in DHS. We had a late breakfast and was concerned about the same thing, but it worked out because we got to sample the lunch menu.

...about getting to try two different menus with having a late breakfast. Genius!!! I hope it works that way for us too!
