I KNOW this has been touched on but I couldn't find the thread from long ago. It was about gluten free menu's & such....

Our family eats organically most of the time, so when we eat out we have to be careful. For instance a chicken sandwich at RFC slowed us down big time bc DH & I had headaches & major fatigue..our MSG symptoms.

We actually plan to bring a lot of our own food (we drive from AZ) & stick to Mimi's (a fave place in our neighborhood as well) Cafe ..... but there are a few places I'd like to try.

Anyone have any idea HOW we can tell which items/places might be MSG free?

I too am hyper sensitive to MSG and as a rule, Disney does not use MSG in their food. I am someone who goes to WDW all the time and have eaten in all their restaurants, and I've talked with the chefs. I have also eaten at DL during three stays, and I had no problems. However, to make yourself feel better and in case someone in your family has severe food allergies, may I suggest that you make reservations ahead of time to eat at sit-down restaurants. Then the week before your visit, call the restaurant and speak with the chef to make sure he knows of your dietary needs. I have found Disney to be very accommodating regarding food allergies. But it all comes down to communication. When you make the reservation have it stated on the reservation about the MSG and/or other concerns. Then follow up with a phone call. Also, as I'm sure you're aware, sometimes people say they don't use MSG but they don't realize that it is in the prepared sauces or gravies, or salad dressings. Make sure they are using condiments that are MSG free.
