ok in short it will be 6 adult females(the other 5's 1st trip)I am in charge of all the planning and dining adr's so for my dilema here are my questions
1)should we do cape may or boma breakfast
2)Cape May for breakfast or dinner
3)should we do chef Mickeys and if so Breakfast or dinner
4)Would you suggest Sci-Fi(lunch for atmosphere more so than the food)

Adr's I have so far
Sci-FI lunch
Crystal Palace dinner
Tusker house breakfast
O'hanas dinner
Chef Mickeys breakfast&dinner
Les Chefs dinner
Cape May breakfast

Any input would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance!

1)should we do cape may or boma breakfast BOMA
2)Cape May for breakfast or dinner DINNER
3)should we do chef Mickeys and if so Breakfast or dinner BREAKFAST
4)Would you suggest Sci-Fi(lunch for atmosphere more so than the food)
YES, we have had lunch there twice and loved it but if you want more fun and kitchy stuff and more joking around go to 50's PT instead

Sci-Fi seating for 6 may be problematic---I think the "cars" only seat 4.

You really are heavy on buffet style meals/ w characters. Frankly, (no flames please) I can deal with getting my own food about 1-2 times per trip. If I am paying for table service, I enjoy being waited on and one character meal is fun for adults, more than that may be tedious--you may want to run this by your crew.

I love Chef Mickey's (we go with grandkids) but if you go to a buffet be sure to go early in the seating. Otherwise, I find the offerings to get a little tired and not as attractively presented or as fresh.

Happy planning---it sounds like you're on top of your ADR's. One thing that I did a few years ago when I was taking "virgins" to WDW, was print out the menus and have everyone weigh in on what they preferred. :wizard:

I would definately do Sci-Fi. It's fun. They do have some 6 person cars.

Also, my best friend and I have done CRT lunch twice and loved it. We couldn't get our husbands to go with us. It's a hard one to get though and you have to pay in advance unless on the dining plan.

The only buffet we have done is the 1900 dinner. The dinner characters are more for grown-ups there. It's also a chance to see the GF if you have never been in it.

1)should we do cape may or boma breakfast - BOMA - BREAKFAST OR DINNER

2)Cape May for breakfast or dinner - DINNER - CRAB LEGS!

3)should we do chef Mickeys and if so Breakfast or dinner NEITHER - FOR ADULTS ONLY, I WOULD RATHER HAVE KONA CAFE BREAKFAST OR DINNER. ANOTHER CHOICE OVER CHEF MICKEY IS GRAND FLORIDIAN CAFE - THE LADIES WOULD LOVE DINING THERE. YOU HAVE 2 OTHER CHARACTER MEALS SO YOU'LL SEE PLENTY OF CHARACTERS. THESE OTHER RESTAURANTS WILL BE MUCH MORE RELAXING AND BETTER FOOD!
YOU ALSO MIGHT WANT ANOTHER SIT DOWN RESTAURANT AT EPCOT - LIKE ROSE AND CROWN OR SAN ANGEL INN OR TUTTO ITALIAN

4)Would you suggest Sci-Fi(lunch for atmosphere more so than the food) YES, WE LOVE SCI FI FOR THE ATMOSPHERE AND THE FOOD. LOVE THE REUBEN AND ONION RINGS

Thanks for all the quick reply's and advice.I thought the cars seat 6 people 3 seats 2 per seat?I am still on the fence on Chef Mickeys think I may switch to Cape May for dinner instead and then do Boma for breakfast.I know it seems silly to have all these character meals for adults only but I want them to really experience the magic of Disney as much as they can most of them may not ever get the chance to go again:sad: And we are all kids at heart;)

I'd skip Crystal Palace dinner - take the monorail to the Poly and do dinner at Kona then watch the water parade(can't think of the correct name) and fireworks from the beach at the poly.

Just so you know..Cape May only has characters at breakfast. There is no lunch served and dinner does NOT have characters

Thanks just seen no characters at dinner another dilema oh no what to do
And as far as Crystal Palace it is a Birthday Celebration that day and we are doing MK and MVMCP that night 11/30.I know the food is not the best by far but the characters are and i think she will really enjoy it.If it was just for the food I would definately pick something else.I just looked at the Kona menu and it sounds yummy so that leads me to another question would you suggest o'hanas or Kona?

I would too, that way you can have a "real" drink too. Kona Cafe was fantastic!:thumbsup2

If I was going with a group of girls, I would go to:

Kona Cafe for dinner, over Ohana anyday.
1900 Park Fare for breakfast, or The character breakfast at Animal Kingdom.
50's Prime Time Cafe, over Sci Fi
Chef Mickeys for dinner one night (fun for Birthdays, and easy to get to MK for Wishes)
Maybe Coral Reef, it's really neat in there. (Food was OK)
Maybe Teppan Edo in Japan ?? I have heard great things but never been

I'm still thinking, I am having a hard time myself picking ADR's for our trip in May. I want KONA every night! :rotfl2:

1)should we do cape may or boma breakfast - BOMA FOR SURE
2)Cape May for breakfast or dinner - NO, unless you have a 2nd bfast then you can go here but do something better for dinner
3)should we do chef Mickeys and if so Breakfast or dinner - NO, HATED IT...for EITHER.
4)Would you suggest Sci-Fi(lunch for atmosphere more so than the food) - YES, LOVE IT! FUN TIME AND DECENT LUNCH FOOD

1)should we do cape may or boma breakfast
Boma

2)Cape May for breakfast or dinner
Breakfast for sure! It is fabulous but dinner was disappointing so I'd pick something better if dinner was all you could fit in.

3)should we do chef Mickeys and if so Breakfast or dinner
I'd skip this one. Every aspect of our meal was horrible when we were there in February.

4)Would you suggest Sci-Fi(lunch for atmosphere more so than the food)
Loved Sci Fi so I'd do it. The cars seat 6 and I think it's a great lunch choice in DHS.

1)should we do cape may or boma breakfast BOMA
2)Cape May for breakfast or dinner dinner
3)should we do chef Mickeys and if so Breakfast or dinner Do not do Chef Mickey's, LOL. Many better options out there
4)Would you suggest Sci-Fi(lunch for atmosphere more so than the food) For 6 adults? No way. The shtick wears off quickly and it is difficult to converse

The cars that seat 6 at Sci Fi are 2+2+2, three sections. I think one character meal for adults is sufficient, even for first timer adults.

Love Boma, plus you can spend some time exporing the resort.

We're not that big on Chef Mickeys, we like Crystal Palace better (we like Pooh and Tigger) and I think the food is better. I think someone else suggested Kona Cafe, that's a good place. We also liked the WHispering Canyon Cafe. THe food is good but the atmosphere might be a little crazy for some.

I like the Sci-Fi experience though the food is so-so. But if you know that going in you'll be fine.

We have never eaten at Cape Mays, so I'm no help there.

i agree that you have too many character meals. even when i was at the height of my Disney Mania & Commando Magic Mom days, that would have been too many for me. I can't imagine if it were my first trip to WDW.

I would say Yes to breakfast or dinner at Boma. Scale back to 2 Character meals tops, can Chef Mickey's (it is pretty awful all the way around) and add a really nice signature meal or at least more adult experience to show your friends all the wonderful magical sides of WDW. If signature meals are outside your budget, look at something like Kona, GF Cafe, Kouzzina, San Angel.... I actually like Crystal Palace (at least for lunch) I think that would be a lovely Character meal & special BDay dinner.

Also, as fun as I think Sci Fi is, it will be next to impossible for you guys to gab. I know when my friends & I do WDW, we like to talk up a blue streak since we don't usually have that kind of time together. I agree that 50's would be better.

I agree, you have too many character meals. I have been to almost all character breakfasts, however, and Cape May is my favorite by far! I like it because the food is good, and the atmosphere is the quietest and most relaxing. It is definitely the most adult (if a character breakfast can be adult!).

Chef Mickey's is a migraine waiting to happen. I find that the loud b'fasts have such a rush-rush-rush vibe to them that you race through your meal, and while you don't have to shout, you do need to raise your voice to speak to the person across the table. Who wants to start their day like that?

I also would encourage you to rethink Sci-Fi. The food and service are horrible, IMO, and the seating situation for your party is awkward. The Prime Time Cafe will be a blast for a group of women, and the food and service is much better.

Ohana is fun, but again it is something I think of more for a family. They do have wonderful cocktails served in pineapples, however...

I have never been to Boma, and am planning on going on my next trip for dinner. I do think a meal at Boma would be great, however, because the resort is amazing.

Also with a group of women going, don't forget about afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian!

Crystal Palace dinner KEEP
Tusker house breakfast DUMP TUSKER, GET BOMA BREAKFAST if you HAVE TO DO ANOTHER BREAKFAST
O'hanas dinner KEEP
Chef Mickeys breakfast&dinner DUMP, VERY MEDIOCRE FOOD
Les Chefs dinner KEEP
Cape May breakfast SWITCH TO DINNER

Any input would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance!

Here's my 2cents...too many breakfasts (you get way too full and then won't feel good in the parks. And way too many character meals for a party of adults. One or two would be more than plenty. Chef Mickey's is a total waste of money unless you absolutely have to do a Mickey character meal...if that's the case, then do breakfast, it's cheaper.
