DH and I are staying at WL on our upcoming trip and have decided to go to WCC on our first night...but we'll be flying in from Cali so won't be eating until about 9pm. From what I've heard and read, the craziness and silly antics are one of the big draws of Whispering Canyon (and we would like this), so I was wondering if these are in full swing later in the night when there might not be so many guests (particularly young guests) dining? Since I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about the food, we might reconsider our choice....
Thanks!

I think it depends on the "servers" that evening. When we were there in September (we had a 5:00 ADR and were not seated until 5:40) there were NONE of the antics everyone talks about--no pony races, no ketchup issues, etc.

In '07 we had a late ADR (9:30) at WCC. We arrived a little early and were seated about then. We enjoyed our meal, and our server had a little fun with us, but the crowd was rapidly leaving and by 9:50 we were the only party left. Runnin' Rhonda kept our plates and milkshakes full and even packed our desserts to go when we said we were full, but we were disappointed by the lack of show. Jan '09 we had a 4:00 ADR and while a little early, by the time our skillet arrived, the ketchup was flowing and jumping from table to table. Keep your ADR, and hopefully things will be kicking when you get there. Gotta say the brisket was the best I've had in years.

We had nothing. Just kids running around with ketchup which became annoying very quickly.
