We will be traveling with 3 adults, a 3 year old, and a 1 year old in May. One of the adults is a vegetarian, and one child is allergic to peanuts. I started making ADR's about 60 days out. We are paying OOP for dining. We will be staying at AKV Kidani and then OKW starting on day 5. We plan on taking a break from the parks in the afternoons. We do not plan on buying park hopper tickets. We will be using Disney Transportation.

Day 1-AKV
Liberty Tree Tavern 11:30AM
1900 Park Fare 5:55PM

Day 2
Akershus 12:10PM
Le Cellier 8:00PM

Day 3
Mama Melrose 2:35 Fantasmic Package

Day 4
Tusker House 10:05AM

Day 5-OKW
Tony's Town Square 6:10PM

Day 6
50's Prime Time Cafe 11:30AM

Day 7
Rainforest Cafe AK 11:30AM

Nothing for Cinderella's Royal Table has become available yet. We would do that instead of Akershus or Park Fare, if it becomes available.

We would prefer to do Akershus for dinner and Le Cellier for lunch on day 2, but so far I have only been able to get a late dinner reservation for Akershus. The way the itinerary is now the kids can do something else if they aren't up for dinner or just eat earlier and get a snack or dessert. A Disney person recommended the Yachtsman, but it looks quite expensive for dinner. My husband would like a steak.

I tried to get either a late dinner or early lunch for Mama Melrose's, but the 2:35 time was the best time to allow us to go back to the resort before Fantasmic.

We have discussed doing T-rex instead of Rainforest Cafe. Nothing's available online, but I haven't called. My older child likes dinosaurs.

We had originally planned on eating at Boma's, but the dinner is SO expensive with 3 adults. We also thought it would be better to do character breakfasts than the buffet there.

We will probably do snacks and breakfast items in our room. We don't want to cook much, but do convenient portable items.

Any feedback is welcome! Thanks! :thumbsup2

Boy, your traveling party sounds like mine! 3 Adults (1 of which is a veg) and 2 kids, 7 and 3.5 (the younger with a nut allergy). And we'll be at OKW in May!

Are you looking for a little feedback? I would do T-Rex over Rainforest. We have 2 Rainforest Cafes close to our home and did the T-Rex on the last trip because of the 3 y/o. We loved it. The food was good and the interior was huge! Very accommodating with the allergy.

Of course everywhere in WDW is accommodating with the allergies and special diets. The Cat Cora restaurant at Boardwalk was the best by far...Yak and Yeti too. We've dealt with my sister, the veg, for several yrs now at WDW. Just make sure the servers acknowledge the special needs when you get seated...especially at the buffets.

We generally send a box of kitchen items (cereals, etc) down to the resort prior to our arrival so we don't have to pay the prices or deal with what they may or may not have in the sundries shops.

Trex keeps some availability open for walk-ups, so if you still don't find something before you go, just try on the day of at the restaurant directly.

HI Magicwishes!

I am a vegetarian ( that sounds a little like i'm standing in front of group of people .... oh, differant support group -). Anyhow, i have been to Disney several times in the last few years and have NEVER had any issues dining. Of the restaurants you mentioned above I've been to Akershus, Tusker House, 50's Primetime and Rainforest cafe, i had great meals at all of them. If the vegetarian in your group is concerned, Allears.net has all the menus posted for review. The few places i ate at that served Family style - Spririt of Aloha and Hoop dee Doo - we not a problem either. Once we were seated I told the waitress i was a vegetarian and the Chef made a fabulous veggie meal for me.

have a great time on your vacation and enjoy your fruits and vegetables:banana:

Sorry, I'm a little late. I would definitely do dinner ADRs for 5 PM ish w/ kids 3 and 1.

Overall choices look good.

Tusker House - see if you can get a later breakfast seating so that it doesn't bump your touring times. I think the last breakfast seating is 11 or 11:30.

Akershus - we loved the breakfast, I think the lunch and dinner food there is more Norwegian and it depends on the "pickiness" of your kids.

T-Rex you can look up the number online and call direct to make a reservation. Disney doesn't have much availability thru their ADR system for T-Rex.

We have friends w/ a son w/ peanut allergies that went to WDW last year...The chefs were great! Just tell the servers up front and I think you can note this in your reservation. The chefs will come out and speak to you about the food prep.

I agree w/ PP, send a box to resort with some snack items, diapers, wipes, sippy cups, coffee, etc to make it easier with young kids.

Good luck! Have a great trip!
