Hi everyone!

We head out in less than a month and I am super excited! I have confirmed and re-confirmed that DCL has my request for a 4-top so that my family can be on its own for supper (I also requested that we sit in one of the booths in Enchanted Garden as these will help lock in our 3-nager).

When will we know that this request has happened? If I remember correctly, we get our dining rotation in our room? Or is it on the KTTW? Where will it say if we are sitting with another family? Is this something you can ask to change at embarkation, or is that just to change your rotation? We are not picky on the rotation.

Somewhat related, since the "first five things you do on your cruise" post got me thinking...we were on the Magic last time and I remember that when we boarded the place to get our meet and greet tickets was immediately adjacent to where we came in...is it like that on the Fantasy also?

Thanks for your help!

I don't know that there is a way until you're closer to sailing, maybe 1-2 weeks out? Even then, I'm not sure you'll know until you're on board.

We requested a dining rotation last time and didn't find out if we got it until we were given our KTTW at check in. We didn't know if we were sitting with other people or not (we didn't request anything) until we went to where you can change dining assignments. We only went because we met a family on board that day near the pool and our daughters really hit it off. We went down to Lumiere's (where they were taking requests to change dining) and asked if we could all get moved to a table together. They told us that our family of 3 had been seated with a family of 5. It was no problem to switch us to a table of 6 to sit with another family of 3. Now, this was second seating. I imagine it's easier to juggle second seating. We also told them when we were switching that rotation didn't matter to us (at that point, the rotations were completely different than what we had been told prior to sailing, that it really was a moot point - we just wanted to sit with another family of 3 with a DD the same age).

So the tl;dr version is that you probably won't know until you're on board and you check in with the folks at the request to change dining area, or perhaps if you call a week out.

Your dining rotation and table number will be on your KTTW card, and on a ticket in your room. Neither of those indicate whether you are seated alone, or in a booth. You would need to head to where the dining changes are handled onboard (noted in the Navigator you get in the terminal) to check those things.

Tickets for the ticketed events (Anna & Elsa; Princess Gathering; Character breakfast) will also be noted as to where/when they are being distributed. Typically, I believe, it's Guest Services, although not always. On one of our cruises the Anna & Elsa tickets were distributed at D Lounge. Another cruise they were at the Port Adventures desk.

Your dining rotation will be on your KTTW card, but that doesn't specify how many seats are at the table. You could almost certainly visit the dining room and look at the table, or better yet just check with the dining change station as soon as you get on board. They are nice people, and try to accommodate whatever people ask if they possibly can, so you can approach them right after you board to find out. It's kind a two-way street, if you are flexible with rotation and/or seating time I bet they will do everything to help you out.

Sorry I don't know any way to find out earlier than embarkation day.

How many do the largest size tables seat I wonder? We are a party of 7 (3 rooms linked together). I was assuming we would be seated at a table to ourselves.

I have seen them create larger than standard tables for large parties. However, my money is on you'll have a table to yourselves for a party of 7. I can't imagine they'd add another table to yours just for an unrelated party. No one but Disney knows for sure, but based on many sailings that's what I've observed and heard others say.
