One of the advantages of being a dvc owner ( or staying in a room with a microvave) is that you can get a doggie bag from a restaurant and have another meal the next day. In Jan we ate at LeCellier before watching illuminations and it was great to be able to get a to-go bag. Both my girls and I could not begin to finish our meal and we got to have a wonderful lunch the next day. We were staying at the BWV and ate our meal late so we did not have to carry it around for very long.

I thought that very same thing. It just kills me to leave food behind. I'm real into doggie bags when I go to restaurants at home, and it just didn't seem right to not take those huge, expensive leftovers at Disney restaurants.

One year we had a microwave in our room at the BC, and I did take my LeCellier meal back with me...I had leftover mushroom ravioli for breakfast before checking out. Yum.
:D

DeDixie --- one of my favorite things about DVC! It's also the main use I have for the kitchen besides breakfast.

Since we spend most of our time at Epcot and MGM (and I rarely finish a meal), we see this as another advantage of BWV. DH has looong legs (and his feet rarely hurt) so he'll run my leftovers back 'home' if we aren't planning on going there soon anyway. He's the one who usually has them for lunch (or breakfast) the next day anyway, so I don't feel too guilty.

Buy everyone in the family a turkey leg from Frontierland = guaranteed doggie bags in the fridge that night.

YES! I also agree with everyone too! When DH and I stayed at the BWV for the 1st time, we thought we would head to the BW Bakery for some dessert. I mean--how filling could dessert be right? So I end up buying a napolean and black chocolate cake (forgot the name...) and they were HUGE portions even though it didn't look too big...We ended up having dessert for 2 days! ;) It was great to have the fridge to just put them back and nibble at them later. LOVE DVC!:D

Could it be Black Forest Cake? Gotta love that bakery!! Cream puffs are also decadently delicious!
