Dining in Mexico

Thank you for your reply. I have an adr at San Angel Inn for lunch in November and was hoping for a good review.

La Hacienda de San Angel (table service on the lagoon) doesn’t open for lunch so your choices are the counter service Cantina de San Angel (note for lunch can bring food into La Hacienda dining room), the outdoor bar, Choza de margarita, which has some snacks, and the table service San Angel Inn. I am predisposed to table service so not surprisingly prefer the latter - love the pavilion atmosphere, great spot for break from heat. I like the food but you’ll find there are lots who don’t - definitely check the menu first. My one “complaint” is that the tables are incredibly close to each other.

We love San Angel Inn. Unique moonlit atmosphere day or night. Fun little boat ride inside to enjoy as well. Food is excellent but not for everyone. They do not serve typical taco's, burritos, chimichanga type menu that so many expect when going to a Mexican restaurant.

Search the forum. If there's one restaurant in Epcot which gets more bad reviews than all others, it's San Angel Inn. Go for La Hacienda, it's miles better.

We've always had good meals and service and it happens to be one of my husband's favorites. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is good, not spectacular though. If you want another Mexican option, try Frontera Cocina at Disney Springs. Their food is just delish!

San Angel Inn is one of our favorites and is a must-do tradition for us. It's not Tex-Mex or American style mexican food though. It's much closer to what you'd order in the heart of Mexico. We like the ambiance and the darkness which is usually a nice relief from the hot Florida sun. We like to ride the Gran Fiesta Tour before and after our meal as well.

For drinks though, you can't beat the tequila bar inside the pyramid. The margaritas are all amazing.

If we have to eat lunch at Mexico, we get chips and guac and cheese dip at La Cava. We aren't crazy about San Angel any more, too noisy, too crowded and bad service. We like La Hacienda but it's not open. The QS isn't bad if you want QS.
