dining in DL

No. They do have a plan where you get vouchers, but it is almost dollar for dollar price vs. what you get. Also you don't get change back if you use a $10 voucher for a $9 meal, and if the bill is $11 you need to pay the difference.

You could purchase a dining plan that involves character dining, along with the vouchers.

We're going at Christmas and purchased a 5 day dining plan with included 1 premium dining and 4 Character dining along with a $15 and $5.50 snack voucher per day per person. Its a great if you want to prepay everything. We are just waiting to book all our meals.

As stated they do not have a dining plan like WDW's. Just prepaid vouchers that do not save you money. There are a few travel agencies that sell discounted vouchers for character buffets that saves a bit.

Not sure if they still offer it but Costco.com has sold packages that include 1 character meal for all guests for about the same price as Disney sells the package without a meal.

Dining is not as large of a part of the Disney experience as it is at WDW. Not as many resorts and restaurants. Instead most spend more time in the parks since its minutes to walk between the parks, resorts and downtown Disney without having to take a bus, boat or monorail. I suppose thats why they don't have a similar dining plan.

Thank you for the replies. We are only staying in DL for two nights after we get off the Disney Wonder. We wont have a car to drive anywhere, so we have to eat at the DL restaurants.

Seriously, for a 2 night stay, any kind of meal plan offered by Disneyland wouldn't save you anything.

You can check out allears.net to see Disneyland menus and figure out your own meal plan.
