Need input inregards to which restaurant to miss. I have Palo booked and thought I read that I can request a cetian dining rotation, but with this being our first cruise do not know what to miss.

Please help me with this decision all-knowing DISers.

Everyone has personal favorites for restaurants on DCL....I would rather miss Animator Palate than Parrot Cay....

You can REQUEST a dining rotation from DCL but it is never guaranteed....it is hit or miss whether you will get it or not. If you don't get it, don't be upset.

What length cruise are you on? I am assuming a shorter one because with the 7 day cruises, it really does not matter which restaurant as you can book Palo a night after you have already experienced all three restuarants.

We liked the regular restaurants so much, I'd vote for skipping Palo. And no, I'm not kidding.

I too agree to miss Palo, and go to Palo as high tea or Bruch! This way you could do everything!

You can always double-dip & not miss any :)

This is what I suggest. It's what we've always done and we don't miss any 'surprises' in the dining rooms, and end up saying 'if we'd dined at Palo, we'd have missed that.' Plus, you've booked the brunch, and many posters here (myself included) favor it over the Palo dinner. :earsgirl:

Parrot Cay. Or.... if you are early..... do both. You only live once..... eat, eat, eat!

We skipped Palo dinner, but did brunch and high tea. Didn't want to miss any nights on our first cruise in the regular rotation. I would skip Animators Palate if I had to choose one to skip. Next cruise we will try Palo and skip Animators. We will definately do brunch again!

We skipped our second Parrot Cay for Palo. (It's the most informal anyway...and feels the most like a cafeteria to me.) The Palo brunch is a fun experience but we would not have missed dinner and won't in the future now that we've done it. It was just really special...not to mention that it lasted a leisurely THREE hours! (We had an 8 pm ressie so there weren't people coming in behind us.)

However, you don't have to skip any of the restaurants if you don't want to! Many people take their kids to dinner at 6 (if they have early rotation) and just have drinks and appetizers...then drop the kids at the club or a movie and head off to Palo's. Why limit yourself? LOL!

We liked all of the restaraunts but if all things are equal, I would skip the one you go to three times. But no matter which night you choose, you will miss something!

If you want to see Animator's Pallette change color, don't book Palo for any of the first three nights because you will not know which night you will get Animator's Pallette.

We booked Palo's for Wednesday and missed out on the "French" menu. What night would I pick if I had to do again? I don't know how to decide; there is no perfect choice!
