Dining Help Please!

Hi All,

I need some help but here is a quick Background: It's too soon to book my ADRs but the calendar is set for our August trip (Haven't booked this either but with the free dining pin I'm booking next week.) I think I can book my ADRs in May. Anyway, would like your opinions on a couple of things. On this trip is Me, DH, DD (6), DS (1 1/2) and my parents, in their 60s. We haven't been in 2 years and I know some things have changed so please help...

1. Mom and Dad want LA Cellier, we were there 2 years ago but thinking about going somewhere else, any thoughts on the Garden Grill for the 4 of us?

2. Is LTT still doing character meals? I thought I read somewhere that they are not?

3. If we do the Garden Grill is Chef Mickey's character overkill? Also, we will do Crystal Palace for breakfast.

4. What do you think of the Coral Reef?

5. Last one I think...It seems like a ton of Downtown Dis Restaurants are no longer on the plan, did I miss something? What happened to Fulton's?

6. (sorry this just popped up) Do you ever leave a meal or two not reserved in case your day plans change?

I would stick with Le Cellier. Garden Grill is a much different atmosphere than Le Cellier, it's not an easy comparison.

They are not.

There are different characters at Garden Grill (Chip, Dale, Pluto and ?? I'm not sure who else.) so, I don't think so...Disney is one of the only places you can eat with characters, so take advantage of it!

4. What do you think of the Coral Reef?

We had a horrible experience there in September. But I'm a big believer in trying a place for yourself. You may be missing out on something you'd love just because someone else had a lousy time. If you've never been, give it a shot. The aquarium is very cool - the food/wait staff, not so much!

I think that many of them are still on the plan...but I'm not positive about this.

I always make all the ADR's a need and then cancel if it looks like we won't use them. If you dont' book, you run the risk of losing those credits because of the increasing popularity of the DDP and the TS restaurants.
