We are going in April with our daughter (18 months). This may be a stupid question since it's Disney, but do Disney table-service restaurants discount meals for children under 2?

How much does she eat? Could she share some food with you and your DH?

When I took toddlers to WDW, I shared with them and/or carried little tubs of applesauce, etc. in the diaper bag.

I agree with the PP...until 3 your kids can eat off of your plate and I would take advantage of that. That's one of the reasons we like buffets...we can get the little ones exactly what they like and there is no charge.

When we go out for meals other than buffets, we order a children's meal for the little ones.

I have to echo the suggestion for eating at buffets. We took our then 10 month old in Dec. and are taking her again in May and plan to stick with buffets and have applesauce and things like that in my purse for snacks and stuff. IMO the Disney buffets are GREAT for people with kids. My daughter was a huge fan of the macaroni and cheese as well as all of the veggie dishes. Good luck, you'll have a great trip!

We also ate at a few buffets where DS could eat free as others have said. For counter service, we would bring a small can of the pop-top Del Monte canned vegetables for him to eat and then I would share my meal with him. If it wasn't enough food for me then I would either eat something like a granola bar, too, or order an additional children's meal.

If you eat at a non-buffet table service restaurant, you can either feed your child off your plate or order a children's meal. There isn't a discount on the children's meal for being under 3 years old, but I personally think it is appropriate to bring food into the restaurant (like applesauce, vegetables, crackers) for a child that young if you want.

You may get more responses if you change your post to dining with a toddler! I though this was going to be about breastfeeding or mixing bottles. An 18 month old is not an infant.

Most places TS and CS you can buy things ala carte or just a side. This is what we did just buy a side of macaroni or mashed potatoes and use stuff off our dinners to supplement. I worried very little about balanced diet, I concentrated on keeping him happy and content while we were dining because one week in his life wouldn't hurt.

No, meals do not get discounted at Disney for under two. However, they may eat off your plate for free both at table service and buffet. Some examples...We ate at the Yaht Club Galley for breakfast last week. I got crab cake benedict and dh got the buffet. There was plenty there that our 2 year old ate off the buffet. When we go to Beaches and Cream, we get him the kid's cheeseburger meal. It's two small burgers. He can only eat one. We do have to pay full kid's price for that meal when we order like that. I hope that helped.

In Sept we took dd3 and ds1. We had no problem sharing food with ds. We did not have to buy any extra meals. We found the buffets to work best with our son.
