What restaurants will most easily accommodate our party of 8? I’m noticing that most restaurants have smaller tables or have social distancing protocols in place that are making it more difficult to seat us all together. Thanks!

What restaurants do you want to eat at? Tables can be moved or you could be assigned to two tables; unless restaurant design forces separate tables (i.e., I think Garden Grill booths are limited to six), it's unlikely you would be forced to socially distance from part of your party.

Edited because it seems I'm wrong about moving tables :)

Even if you are able to make a reservation for 8-people, no matter how large Disney restaurants are, you may be asked to split your group and/or wait for a table large enough to accommodate your group.

The rule of thumb-suggestion on DisBoards is to make [2] reservations at the same time. In your case [2] tables of 4-people. You can often place a note in your dining reservation to request combining the groups. When you check-in, ask if y'all can be seated as one group.

Disney is generally accommodating, and you can expect as honest an answer as can be provided.

I'll add - some places do have larger tables to increase your odds of being seated together, unfortunately, we travel as a small group.

It is much harder now with the Covid Restrictions. I was told for our party of 8 to split the party in groups of 4 since a lot or restaurants wont do tables over 6 right now. I had to book 4 people online at 6am (you can only book one reservation online. I got an error message when I tried to book 2 tables of 4). Then I called at 7am and they were able to book the other 4 at the same time but they did say we can ask to be seated near each other but it would not be guaranteed. The only spot they thought might be an issue was Sci fi. Hope this helps! Good Luck!!

I over heard this question while we were there from a CM from a group of 10, and they were not allowed to sit togethor. Maybe the CM didn't understand what they wanted be he made it seem that tables could not be moved. I'm sorry I can't remember the restaurant. I remember eating at 3 brooms (universal) no one was allowed to sit at non designated table and parties were split up.

They told me the same thing!! They could try to get us close but no guarantee
