Hello everyone I booked CRT on Dec 13th at 7:10pm I also booked BOG at 7:30pm on the 15th. I was thinking of attending the MVMCP on the 15th. I booked CRT through the phone and didn't even know there was another MVMCP on the 13th and nothing was said to me, but when I went to book my BOG on the 15th I noticed there was an alert about not being able to use these reservations unless I had a ticket to the MVMCP Has anyone ever had this issue? Should I just write CRT off my plans and try to find somewhere else to go or will they let us in to dine as long as we leave? Also what are the protocols for getting people out of the park during these events? This will be my first time not coming in the month of March or February and I was hoping we would get a full day in the MK do they just announce over an intercom and hope everyone is honest and leaves? Its just confusing to me :crazy2:

You must have a party ticket to dine after the party starts. The will not let you into the restaurant for reservations after 6:15, I think. I believe that any reservation after 6:15 or so gets that warning when making it online. I know I saw it for our BoG reservation on Nov.15, but we have a party ticket. So cancel the CRT reservation.

The protocol is, once 7pm arrives everybody without an armband has to leave the park. The CMs check people if they don't see one. No shopping, buyiing food, stops at the bathroom after 7pm. They will not even let you into a store after 7pm. People will be escorted out.

I would not waste party time at an ADR. The parties fly by and there is so much to do - we always grab QS while we're there because we never have enough hours to fit everything in (we actually usually go to two parties per trip to take the pressure off).

If you don't have a wristband that they give you, you will be escorted by a CM to the exit.

This is what it says for your date - so if you do not have a ticket, you must have an ADR 5:55 pm or earlier.
If it is after 6:40 it is a special ticketed event dinner. They will not let you dine unless you have party tickets and for CRT that's too much money to lose.
I also would not waste any time during the party eating at a TS.

I also agree that TS is not a great use of your party ticket as there is so much to do and see in just a few hours. The exception would be if you are dying to go to that restaurant and you are willing to lose time at the party for that. If you go on a Friday in December it will be crowded. What we do is we typically get to the park for the part at like 4ish, do some rides, and then get a quick QS dinner at 6-6:30. Other guests are clearing out at that point who aren't visiting the party and then you are ready to party when it kicks off at 7!

I definitely wouldn't waste party time on a Table Service ADR. When we have done parties, we usually have a Table Service late Breakfast for our big meal of the day and then eat counter service at MK around 5:00 before the actual party events start at 7.

I think it also depends on other factors. I believe there is a woman on a MNSSHP thread who wants to eat at Be Our Guest while wearing her Belle dress. Since adults can only come in costume on a party night, that sort of TS experience would be heavily linked to party night dining.

Along with that though, you can enter at 4 pm with your party ticket and in your costume. I would still be trying for a pre-party ADR time so I don't waste the party, and as long as I came in at 4 I would still be able to be in my costume.

Oh, sure. I'm doing something similar, since the goal is to finish up at BBB and then have little Kylo and little Cindy meet all the girls at CRT.
:cool1:

1) Why would anyone waste valuable party-time by eating DURING the party hours.
2) IMHO, a terrible waste of time and money.

We actually enjoyed eating dinner at CRT the first time we did the MVMCP. It seemed ultra-magical being able to see the holiday lights come on around the Castle from our table not far from a window.

The next time we did that party, we had Afternoon Tea at the GF which proved perfect, not such a heavy meal that we were dragging around stuffed and not fast food either. We timed it to enter the party a bit after 7:00 which had the advantage of non-partygoers mostly having been escorted out already and the sidewalks along Main Street being kept open behind those staked out to see the first parade. Much easier to implement our party strategy: Get the hey AWAY from Main Street and stay out there until after the first parade.

We aren't big on using every second of party time, though. We've had a great time without going "party commando" and still felt our 2-3 hours plenty worth the cost.

I highly recommend if you are going to do a dinner ADR on a party night that you'll be attending, to make the ADR for no later than 5pm. Like others have said, we would never dine during the party. Those tickets are too expensive and those 5 hours of the party go by FAST! Last November on our mvmcp night, we had dinner at 4:30 at BOG and it was so much more enjoyable because we were able to enjoy the meal and relax a little before the party. We were done by 6pm, with an hour to spare before the party even started. It was a great way to start the night.

This year I'll be going to MNSSHP, and we are going to Hoop Dee Doo for dinner but I made sure to book the first show at 4pm, to give us plenty of time to get to MK after for the party.

I didn't realize there was a party going on at this time, I am not attending the parties my question was if I needed to cancel my ADR or would they let me eat and then leave, my question has been answered though =)

"Get the hey away from Main Street" :rotfl: I am not big on the parades (when most people hear this they look like they are going to pass out lol) my mom always drug us to them and I would have much rather been on a ride doing a character interaction or watching a show so if we do end up doing MVMCP I will steer clear of that area alltogether!

Yup. I believe ya.

We actually never did see the whole parade. Got so worn out riding rides and bothering the Memento Mori CM's that we bailed before the last one.

We spent most of our "get-the-hey-AWAY" time riding HM or POTC back-to-back while most people were hanging onto their real estate along Main Street, several of those since we came in at around 4:00 that first time we did MVMCP. Why you would want to waste several hours hanging onto a spot to see a [ahem!] parade was beyond me.

I remember saying to DH when we decided to do the party the second year in a row that we were gonna get AWAY from Main Street as soon as we got into the MK. Worked wonderfully. We had Memento Mori to ourselves for quite some time. The CM's said it was really great to have somebody to chat with while virtually everybody else was mobbing the parade route. We had a marvelous time talking to them.
