I am new to DVC and I read somewhere that there are discounts at some of the restaurants for DVC members. If so, which restaurants and how much of a discount ? :confused3

Please don't say it is in the members handbook. :sad2: I'm to new to even have it yet. popcorn::

Don't you just love newbies ???? :lmao:

It's on the member website as well. They change all the time, so what you read today, could be different next month.

I'm so new I don't have a member number yet...... I've just passed ROFR and we will close very soon on our BWV contract.... I hope. I'm just trying to look ahead. Any ideas ??

Really - they do change all the time. Some discounts are for lunch only as well. Perhaps you could list some places and someone could tell you if they are available or not. I have never found the dining discounts to be much to get too excited about for our family - they are mostly places where my family doesn't eat, or don't work because of the lunch/dinner thing, and they are not a big discount for the most part either.

As others have said, the discounts change often, occasionally there will be a 30% off lunch at Fulton's, but that has been very sporatic. Most discounts are 10%, and many are limited to lunch Monday-Friday. I would not pre-book a dining reservation based on the prospect of a DVC discount. Book where you want to eat, then ask your server at the restaurant if there is a DVC discount.

You will also receive a perks booklet in your check-in packet at the resort, and even those are sometimes not accurate.

Thanks for the replies....... we are just looking ahead to our first DVC stay and we are not even booked. Hopefully we will be in the system this week and can do some serious planning.

We've already got our ADR's in place..... LeCellier, Tusker House, O'hana, and Garden Grill.

This will be our umpteen trip but this time we are taking our DS, DDL, and DGD for their first visit so I'm trying to learn more about it from the DVC angle.

Thanks again. :worship:

My favorite DVC member dining discount is the 20% off for the Swan/Dolphin restaurants. It's especially nice since the TiW has not been accepted there. (although it may be now. Haven't checked lately).

The S/D discount has been around a few years and I think it will stick around for at least this year and next (since many of the S/D restaurants are now available via restaurant.com)

DVC members get 20% off all meals at the participating S/D restaurants, not just lunch (as you do for most of the other DVC dining discounts).

If you are staying at BCV or BWV, the S/D restaurants are very convenient. :)

Thank you........ this is what I was hoping to hear. I'm sure there will be changes between now and the middle of January, but it gives me some ideas. :flower3:
