I understand that DVC members get a 10% discount at certain Disney restaurants. If I was to rent points from a member, would I also get the discount transferred to me since I would be the guest of a member? If so, how would I present this at a restaurant? And if this is true, is there a list of restaurants that the discount would work with?

You are not entitled to any member perks as a renter. However, your room key will say DVC member and that may get you the perks - some restaurants/waiters ask for the member card.

I agree with crisi. Technically renters are not entitled but DVC hasn't enforced that difference in most cases. And while I've seen reports of Disney asking for the member card, I don't recall an instance of any perks being denied to one who had a room key that said member on it. Part of the issue is that many of the perks are not limited to the member but also include guests but not renters. That is a difficult distinction to make at the end user level.

While I was dining this past November I was asked for my actual member card for the discount, not just the room key.

This was at a couple of restaurants.
