Dining discount black out dates??

Are there any blackout dates for the DVC and/or AP dining discounts other than major holidays? I see TIW is blacked out for most of March for a few venues we were going to dine at (Akershus for DD's 12 the birthday). We are only going a couple of days this trip and while we're semi local and do frequent day trips we do tend to avoid the hotter and more crowded times. Our TIW expired at the end of January and we've done 2 day trips eating at Sanaa and Whispering Canyon both with the 10% discount. It seems that, other than alcohol, it would take longer than the average quoted $500 to break even on TIW and now more so with their longer black out dates at some restaurants. So would it be better to wait on TIW until say September or late August when we tend to do more day trips? We have a December UY and unless we borrow we won't have more overnight stays until after December although may go camping at Ft Wilderness before then in the Fall. Thoughts?
