We have an ADR for Liberty Tree Tavern for 11/21 at 4:00 for a table of 12. We are spending the whole day at MK as well as another day that week. Do you think we should switch from LTT to Boma-Flavors of Africa? There will be 8 kids (14,13,13,11,9,9,6,6) and we already have two character meals at Crystal Palace and the Garden Grill. Do you think we could still get reservations for Boma? Would we have enough time at MK (we are spending another full day there)? Please state your reason when voting.

I said change to Boma because you already have 2 character meals. There's nothing truly special about the food at LTT. It is a lovely experience and we enjoy it, but we don't do it with CP and GG. Boma is good food and a totally different experience.

As to do we think you can still get ressies...that is totally irrelevant. What any person thinks doesn't matter. If you decide that you want to change, call Disney Dining and find out if you can get a ressie.

AKL at dusk is wonderful--all the animals are out along with some of the educators. You can view the animals before or after your dinner.

2 full days at MK would be enough for most people, but it's impossible to do everything you want in one trip (unless it is maybe 3 weeks long). We came close in 2 weeks. My concern for your group would be how you split up. If you do everything as a group of 12, it might not be enough time. If you split in age appropriate groups and arrange a meeting time and place, everyone will be happier. The 6 year olds won't be into the same things as the teens. It looks like you have 8 kids, so that's probably 4 adults. Split into 3-4 groups and everyone can have a great time. Then get together for meals.

i said keep it the way it is... who wants to schlep alllll the way from MK to AKL (practically the farthest possible distance on property!) for a buffet which we thought was good but not outstanding... esp if you don't have daring adventurous eaters...

what you might want to consider is heading to the WL for dinner at WCC as that's rumored to be a great fun place and is only a short boat-ride from the MK or perhaps 'ohana another fun restaurant w/a few "different" items...

whatever you decide, ENJOY! :flower:

I REALLY agree with the suggestion for Whispering Canyon Cafe. Take the boat over, have a nice dinner and then you can either go back to the park, or call it quits for the night and relax at the resort. With that many people WCC would be lots of fun!!!

I say stay at MK, just for ease. Boma's is very good. But that is a lot of trouble. I agree that WCC may be a good choice if you can get it!! :wizard:

I think kids that age would really enjoy seeing the animals at AKL. The food is wonderful at Boma. Yes, it is a bit of a drive, but not that far.

Are you planning to spend time at the MK after dinner? That would making going to Boma a bit different. But since you are spending a whole second day there, I am guess you aren't. You could go back to your hotel afterwards and maybe have some pool time. The older kids might even want to go to Disney Quest.

If you want to eat at LTT, I suggust you have lunch there. We think the food off the menu is much better then the dinner platter.

8 kids.... :worship: :hyper2: :earboy2: .... Makes me vote for LTT. The food isnt the best and shouldnt be compared to Boma at all but traveling w/ 8 kids from park to resturant and maybe back to park again.... is a long day and could be too overwhelming. Even though you already have character meals set, you wont go wrong w/ another.
:dance3:

Thanks for all of the help guys! I changed my LTT ADR to 11/24 (the date we were supposed to dine at Crystal Palace) at 4:20. In place of LTT on 11/21, I made an ADR for Boma at 7:00 (PM) for 2 tables of 6. We have already dined at Crystal Palace so skipping that is not a big deal. Thanks again!
